Magic Contest #1

(edited 10-14-2009) Because I have not yet had a submitted video make it into the Top Ten, I’ve decided to add more to the prize. The first person submitting a video performance that makes it into the Top Ten will now receive:

1. Decks, Lies, and Videotape DVD

2. Bullseye DVD

3. Magic and Showmanship, by Henning Nelms. (Book)

4. A brand new tube of Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment. (It’s that time of year)

5. Maximum Entertainment, by Ken Weber

Contest #1 is a video contest. The first person to record a video of ANY magic routine that is good enough to put in my Top Ten List will win a copy of Brent Braun’s “Decks, Lies, and Videotape.” In addition, of course, you will be put in to my Top Ten list, gaining you fame and fortune forever. Ok, at least you’ll get the magic DVD.

Rules:

1. Any type of magic is okay, as long as there are no video editing miracles.

2. It can be you, or a friend, or your dad, or whatever. The prize will go to the person who submitted the video.

3. The video must be uploaded to YouTube, not some other video site.

4. I have no “real” criteria , although I will tell you that you will have a better chance of winning if the effect involves a spoken script. You have an even better chance if you perform for a live audience .

5. Though not exactly a rule, I should let you know that good or bad, your video will most likely be reviewed on this site.

6. The contest will continue until I have a submitted video in my Top Ten.
