Pen Manipulation (Oh yeah, and Experiment #1)

Anthony, thanks for the video submission to the first magic contest. I mean that. This is not going to make it on my Top Ten, but stick around. After the review, there’s some good news for you.

Your moves: You look like you’re trying to hard. The way that you move doesn’t look natural.

Your script: Sounds like you’re making up what you’re saying as you go, and not doing a good job of it. Too many “ummms…”, too much uncertainty, you look like you’re thinking of what to say next.

On your moves AND your script, it really looks unrehearsed, like you’re still figuring out what to do next, or still remembering the next phase of the routine AS YOU DO IT. This can be taken care of with practice. If I was going to rate this video today, I would be giving you one milk, and one light bulb.You broke even. That’s not necessarily a good thing.

But I decided to something a little different with you. Because I see a lot of potential, if you would just put the work into it.
